My Favourite place

 The Kurus Palliya located in Marawila is not only a religious place but also a peaceful and spiritually calming environment. It is a sacred place filled with silence, humility, and inner peace, which deeply touches my heart.




Even though I am a Buddhist, I have a special love and respect for Jesus Christ. Therefore, when I visit the Kurus Palliya, I do not think about religious differences. Instead, I pray from my heart. The calm and pure atmosphere of this place brings a deep sense of peace to my mind.


The main reason I started visiting this place is because of my best friend, Thilina, who lives in Marawila. He is a Catholic, and going to the church with him gave me a new and meaningful experience. Seeing his faith and devotion inspired me to feel closer to this place as well.

This Kurus Palliya is especially famous because of its religious significance and long-standing history. Many people believe that it is a blessed place. Devotees from different areas come here to pray and take part in religious activities, especially related to the Holy Cross. Some people visit this place seeking relief from their problems, illnesses, and worries, and they believe that their prayers bring them strength, hope, and comfort.


In addition, the peaceful environment and natural surroundings make this place even more special. The quiet atmosphere, fresh air, and greenery help to relax the mind and bring emotional comfort. It is a perfect place to step away from the stress of daily life and find inner peace.

Whenever I visit this place, I feel free from all my worries and stress, even if it is just for a moment. The silence and serenity give me a new sense of energy and calmness. That is why this place is very special to me.

In conclusion, the Marawila Kurus Palliya is not just a religious place, but a sacred space where I find peace and comfort. Even though religions may differ, the search for inner peace is the same for everyone, and this place has taught me that valuable lesson.

 The most valuable thing in my life is my family. My family consists of my mother, my father, and my two elder sisters. The five of us lived very happily together since my childhood. My family is very fun-loving and full of joy. Speaking about my mother, her name is L.D. Nirosha Sajeewani, and she is 56 years old. She works as a preschool teacher and is a very loving and caring mother to me. When I talk about my father, it is very emotional for me. When I was 10 years old, my father passed away due to a sudden accident. Because of that, whenever I remember the bond I had with him, I feel an indescribable sadness.
