Trincomalee


My hometown is Trincomalee, and I have been living here since I was born. Trincomalee is a beautiful coastal city located in the Eastern Province of Sri Lanka. It is famous for its natural harbour, which is one of the finest deep-water harbours in the world.

 

Trincomalee is well known for its stunning beaches such as Nilaveli and Uppuveli, where soft golden sands and clear blue waters attract many tourists. The nearby Pigeon Island National Park is also a popular place, known for its coral reefs and marine life. People can enjoy activities like snorkeling and whale watching in this area.



This city is also rich in history and culture. The famous Koneswaram Temple, a sacred Hindu temple, is one of the main attractions in Trincomalee. Fort Frederick is another important historical site that reflects the colonial past of the city.

       




Living in Trincomalee gives me a sense of pride because it is a peaceful and beautiful place with a unique blend of nature, history, and culture. The friendly people and the calm environment make it a wonderful place to live.

In conclusion, Trincomalee is not just my hometown but also a place full of beauty and importance. I am proud to say that I was born and raised here.

My Family

 The most valuable thing in my life is my family. My family consists of my mother, my father, and my two elder sisters. The five of us lived very happily together since my childhood. My family is very fun-loving and full of joy. Speaking about my mother, her name is L.D. Nirosha Sajeewani, and she is 56 years old. She works as a preschool teacher and is a very loving and caring mother to me. When I talk about my father, it is very emotional for me. When I was 10 years old, my father passed away due to a sudden accident. Because of that, whenever I remember the bond I had with him, I feel an indescribable sadness. I lost my father at a time when I needed him the most. However, my mother has raised me and my two sisters very well and has brought us to a good place in life. A best friend is someone who always stays by your side in both happy and difficult times, and Thilina is exactly that kind of person. Thilina is a very kind, honest, and helpful person.
